After the successful production and deployment of the F/A-18 A and B variants, the US Navy began adding the F/A-18C model. This single-seat fighter aircraft is equipped with missiles for both air-to-ground and air-to-air targets. With its night attack capabilities and state-of-the art radar systems, the F-18C Hornet became a powerful asset within the US Navy. The same aircraft is used by the Blue Angels Squadron for their flight demonstration. The F-18C has been performing breathtaking stunts and displaying exceptional maneuverability since the late 80s. In lieu of the aircraft gun, the Blue Angels outfitted this Hornet variant with a smoke-oil tank. It also has an inverted fuel pump and a stopwatch installed.
