The Eurocopter Tiger is a twin-engine attack helicopter introduced in the early 1990s. Its missions include reconnaissance, close air support, escort, and surveillance. The Tiger was the first helicopter produced in Europe to use all-composite materials. Its fuselage was made from a combination of high-strength materials such as polymer, Kevlar, titanium, and aluminum. This type of armature enables the Tiger helicopter to become virtually impenetrable during crossfire. However, its most important design feature was its stealth technology, which includes radar, visual, acoustic and infra-red signatures that enable the pilots to dodge enemies in the battlefield. The Eurocopter Tiger is currently in service with the French, Australian, German, and Spanish armies.
